Case 01: Connectavo
Rebuilding a maintenance platform around capacity, not guesswork
A UI overhaul of a maintenance-management (CMMS) web portal, timed with its move to a new tech stack: capacity planning, downtime tracking and the reports maintenance teams actually use.

The situation
Connectavo was moving to a new tech stack. Rather than port the old interface across, I proposed using the rebuild to fix the UX problems customers had been reporting for a while.
A UX audit and the backlog of customer feedback set the priorities: help teams plan work against the capacity they really have, and report on the maintenance numbers they're measured by, such as Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) and Mean Time to Repair (MTTR).
What I did
- Designed a capacity-planning view for shifts, vacation days and workload in one place.
- Reworked asset-downtime tracking and rebuilt reporting around MTBF, MTTR and other key maintenance metrics.
- Added configurable views so teams could shape the tool around their own workflows.
- Modernised the look and feel with a scalable, reusable UI style.
- Kept familiar parts of the old design, so existing users weren't starting from zero.
